Example of itinerary for Disneyland Paris
In this page you will see an overview and explanation of our bookings.
So far we have some more experiences booked so this means that the information here will be updated accordingly the more we experience :)
What we booked
Some months in advance we booked our first stay in Disneyland Paris for the start of February.
We flew from Berlin on a Monday morning and the first night we spent it in a hotel in Val d’ France (B&B Hotels). Taking advantage of our free day, we went to the mall in Val d’ Europe using the public transport (bus) and explored the area a bit.
The next morning we had breakfast in the hotel and used their shuttle service to the park in the morning to start with our Disneyland Hotel booking.
We booked 3 days and 2 nights in the Hotel "New York - The Art of Marvel" and the booking included 3 days in both parks with early access (extra magic hour) for all 3 days.
To the booking reservation we added the following extras through the Disney website:
- Airport transfer with Magical Shuttle from the CDG airport to our hotel in Val d’ France.
- Half-Board Plus Meal Plan (includes 2 breakfast vouchers and 2 vouchers for either lunch or dinner)
- Reserved viewing area for the night show for 1 of the nights (can be booked right when booking your package or 7 days before when you get your MagicPass)
- Disney Express Luggage Transfer which takes your luggage from the train station Marne-la-Vallée Chessy to your hotel room and on the last day of your stay you leave it in the reception of the hotel and pick it up later in the train station.
- PhotoPass+ for all 3 days keeping all our souvenir photos from meet and greets and attractions with the service. This pass lets you download the digital photos wherever you access it.
Staying in the Marvel hotel, you also have the chance to visit their Super Hero Station to meet one of the superheroes (randomly allocated) and take photos in some of the backgrounds they have prepared from different movies. Something you can’t miss if you stay in this hotel! Other than that, the hotel is amazing! Is full of art everywhere, as well as a drawing station where you can join and learn how to draw with the help of professionals. You can see posters and pictures of all the superheroes and each room has different art inside, mostly random but also allusive to the preferences you picked in the app before arriving.
We received our Magic Passes on the phone 8 days before our arrival and at the train station when giving out our luggage we were given the actual plastic cards to be able to access the parks and the room later that day, as well as a voucher for the PhotoPass+ card. This voucher you exchange it in some of the stores inside the parks and they give you the plastic card. At around 2pm I received an email and an SMS message telling me that our room was ready.
When you stay in any of the hotels onsite, you can book your lunch or dinner reservations up to 12 months in advance, something super helpful as these tables fly super fast.
We booked the Ratatouille restaurant “Bistrot Chez Remy” for lunch the first day and the “Manhattan” restaurant for dinner on our second day.
The price for this package (not including what we spent in the parks in gifts, ears and snacks) was 1,600 Euros for 2 people, excluding the flight from Berlin.
What our days were like
As mentioned before, we had the Photopass+ card booked and something important to know is that not all the attractions have photographs, so you need to check how many of these attractions you want to ride and how many characters you want to meet to see if this service is something for you.
Day 1
This day was us walking around both parks taking it all in!
We started the day with Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast. Where we learned how the PhotoPass+ worked! As we missed checking the number of our photo at the exit of the ride and couldn’t retrieve it.
